Oracle Linux 8 is now available

We’ve added a new operating system image family.

Oracle Linux 8 is the new option you can choose for your cloud servers.

Popular with its stability and security, Oracle Linux is build from Red Hat Enterprise Linux and shares all the common features and packages with the RHEL family. The current version 8.0 was announced in July, 2019 and is based on Linux Kernel 4.18.0. The default package manager is now ‘dnf’. If you’re an Fedora or CentOS user, Oracle Linux will look pretty familiar.

Oracle Linux is not something new to the world, but we are happy to add it to the list of available operating systems on CloudBalkan. So give it a try.
