Add Cloud Storage to a Cloud Server
Create storage capacity independently, attach it to a server and prepare it inside the operating system.
When to use separate Cloud Storage
Additional Cloud Storage is useful for databases, media, project data and workloads where capacity should grow independently from the Cloud Server system disk.
Create and attach storage
Create the volume from Cloud Storage in the Control Center, select the required capacity and attach it to the intended Cloud Server using the available platform workflow.
Prepare the disk in the guest operating system
A newly attached block device may still need partitioning, a filesystem and a mount point inside the server. These are operating-system operations and should be planned around the application using the volume.
Detach or delete carefully
Stop application writes and unmount storage correctly before detaching it. Deletion is destructive; confirm that the data is no longer required and that the recovery plan is adequate before removing a volume.
Documentation covers the standard workflow. For a live account or platform issue, contact CloudBalkan support without sending passwords, private keys or other secrets.
